Duke Human Fresh Tissue Lab Manager
|
The Duke Human Fresh Tissue Laboratory opened in 1997 and has been actively used to train medical professionals, both at Duke and throughout the country. The vision for surgical training in the facility was to establish a fresh tissue lab where residents, attending physicians, and medical students could perform advanced surgical training on fresh tissue in a state-of-the-art medical skills lab.
In the summer of 2008, the lab went through a major expansion and now, with 2,000 square feet, 15 stations and updated OR equipment, has even more capacity to hold large educational courses.
