The Frank Hawkins Kenan Plastic Surgery Research Laboratories provide innovative, leading-edge research in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The laboratories are housed in 1,980 square feet of the Research Park IV building that is contiguous with the Vivarium. The laboratories include a

state-of-the art surgical wing and are readily accessible to both Duke Hospital (North) and Duke Clinics (South). The facilities are available for original research by undergraduates, medical students, graduate students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows.
The laboratories consist of six pillars of research directed by faculty in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery:
Close collaboration exists between the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery research faculty and members of the Departments of Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Radiation Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Medicine.
